Angel's Pizza, Pasta, Combo: Breaded Chicken Bowls

Yes, That's Angel's Pizza, Pasta, Combo's resident "angel" who loves pizza. But there's a lot to the foodie hangout than just pizza nowadays.

Their newest offering is their Breaded Chicken Bowls in Chicken Parmigiana, Chicken Teriyaki and Chicken with Creamy Sauce for only Php. 95 each!

Had the chance to try them all and liked each in the stated order above.

Clockwise: Chicken Parmigiana, Chicken Teriyaki & Chicken with Creamy Sauce

Chicken Parmigiana
-Tops the three in my opinion; Really captured "Parmigiana" taste

Chicken Teriyaki
- Mildly tastes like Teriyaki

Chicken with Creamy Sauce
- For me it wasn't creamy enough and it caters much to the Western palate

Carrot Loaf (Php. 55)
-Aside from their yummy Brownie Squares (Php. 85), this is another must-try

Liked this poster..very inspiring!

Hong Kong Roast Food Express: "A Taste of Hong Kong"

Roast Chicken
- Its texture and flavor are reminiscent of Causeway Bay roast duck

For those who crave for "authentic Chinese food" or "a taste of Hong Kong," well here's a new and thumbs-up foodie find right at the heart of Salcedo Village, Makati.

Owner Mary Chan's passion is bringing authentic (Hong Kong) Chinese food to Manila especially "Asado."

She felt the need for a restaurant that emulated the true Hong Kong dining experience – excellent food, fast service, unfussy surroundings and affordable prices. Therefore, she and her chef trained with Hong Kong and Shenzhen chefs to perfect the recipe, which is now one of the best-selling dishes at HKR.

Here are more of HKR's sumptuous dishes:

Black Chicken Sesame (only at HKR) - this dish uses the silk chicken, a type of fowl whose skin is completely black; cooked with ginger to eliminate unhealthy gas and acid from the system.

Fried Chicken

French Toast with Sesame filling
- A definite must-try as dessert or snack

Milk Tea
- Only Hong Kong brand Black & White Evaporated Full Cream milk is used

Salted Baked Chicken

Sate Beef Hofan

Spicy Squid

Fried Rice

Garlic Rice

Liked these his/hers curtains which leads to the restroom

The secret's out! Now everyone knows where to dine when craving for authentic Hong Kong Chinese food within Makati. But the place is packed during lunch and dinner time so better get there early!

Bayview Park Hotel Manila: Kulinarya Buffet Festival 1st week of July

Nilagpang na Dahon ng Kamote: A familiar fresh salad/appetizer to Visayans like us but like it with siling labuyo for a bit of bite.

Bulalo: Best when piping hot to warm the tummy for a feast but the marrows are too good to resist plus the mix of fresh veggies entices one to refill their bowl.

Lechon Kawali: Deliciously crunchy golden brown skin and sinful meat, preferred dipped in toyomansi with siling labuyo.

Ginataan Curacha: Hands down this is a must-try..THE favorite indeed this week!

Pinakbet Tagalog: For veggies lovers, Bayview Kulinarya Festival offers the Tagalog version.

Miki Guisado: But of course, what's a Filipino feast without any Pancit fare/version.

Piyaya at Pinasugbo: The Piyaya we often identify as very Pangasinan, while the Pinasugbo from Cebu; both familiar because as kids we get them as pasalubongs.

Various well-loved Kakanins: Maja Blanca, Bibingka, etc. are also served because they are some of the dessert staples at any Filipino feast.

July's here so went back to Bayview Park Hotel Manila where they offer the best Filipino-style buffet dubbed as “Kulinarya.”

For the first week of July they are offering picks from all regions, LuzViMin (Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao) meticulously prepared by Chef Gilbert Soriano.

The whole month of July, the Bayview Park Hotel Manila offers the best buffet lunch from all regions especially Bicol, Batangas, Pampanga, Ilocos, Ilo-Ilo and Cebu. This is in line with the Department of Tourism’s program to better promote our country. Other hotels and restaurants have been tapped to follow suit coinciding with art/culture programs headed by the CCP (Cultural Center of the Philippines) and museum tours in the country.
